I personally really like tattoos, however I am not a fan of pointless tattoos. One of my favorite TV shows is LA Ink and one of the things I like so much about the show is that people go in to get meaningful tattoos like tattoos in memory of people they lost or symbolizing something they have overcome. I despise stupid tattoos. For example, at the beach last weekend I saw a guy with a huge weed plant in the middle of his chest. That is just ridiculous and I saw him as such an ignorant and unintelligent person. A tattoo is there forever, make it mean something so you will never regret it.
I think it’s important to realize that when you decide to get a tattoo, it isn't something that can be easily removed. For most its permanent regardless of whether they want to keep it or not. Before getting a tattoo, I believe that you should take into careful consideration the meaning of you tattoo, and why you want to get it. I've seen tattoos that seem to express great meaning and value and others that are just a spur of the moment kind of thing. I recall Kat Von D saying that it was a way for her to express herself and all her tats have meaning. As far as getting matching tattoos goes, I honestly don't think its a great idea. I've heard of so many people who get matching tattoos or the name of their partner on them and end up regretting it. However, I think it would be a good experience to go and get different ones together. Overall getting something on your body would be entirely your choice and if it is something that you’re passionate and sure about, then go for it.
